LAWYER DESCRIPTION

Paralegal DESCRIPTION

Bonnie-Louise is a leader in the firm’s Workplace Investigations team.  With a background in litigation and in HR from two global law firms, Bonnie-Louise brings expertise to the team from each unique angle.  She is CPHR accredited.

Aside from Workplace Investigations, Bonnie-Louise has extensive experience working with both individual and corporate clients throughout British Columbia and internationally.  She works on all employment matters, including drafting employment contracts, advising on hiring and terminations; she negotiates, mediates and represents clients at various courts and tribunals in BC and Canada.  She regularly advises on recruitment and retention and remains connected to the law student community as alumnus of Allard Law.

Bonnie-Louise grew up in Vancouver and graduated from the University of Victoria with a B.A. in English Literature in 2002.  She got her law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2005 and was admitted to practice in B.C. in 2007.  She was then admitted to practice law in Sydney, Australia in 2008.  Bonnie-Louise joined KSW Lawyers in 2023 in its Vancouver office.

Bonnie-Louise volunteers with Jericho Baseball, as well as with a community garden in Vancouver that helps to feed some of Vancouver’s marginalized people. She has been coaching law students as they prepare for 2L and articling interviews, and represents the firm at student events.

In her spare time, Bonnie-Louise can be found at Kits Pool with her young son or reading to him in French and English.  While she misses the beaches in Sydney, she is glad to be home in Canada showing her son his Canadian heritage.
