Chris Boulton was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1964, he moved to British Columbia at an early age. After two years at the University of Victoria, Chris transferred to the University of Ottawa where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree ( magna cum laude ) in 1986. He graduated from Queens University with a Bachelor of Law Degree in 1989 ( winning the prize for corporate law ). Following graduation, he articled in Vancouver with Farris Vaughan Wills & Murphy and was called to the British Columbia bar in 1990. He practiced with Farris Vaughan Wills & Murphy for over eight years before joining Kane, Shannon & Weiler in April 1999.

Mr. Boulton's practice area is in Wills and Estates. This area includes preparing a full range of wills from simple to complicated. He can advise clients with respect to appropriate measures to balance the natural desire to reduce probate fees and income taxes on death against achieving greater certainty that their final wishes will be accomplished. Mr. Boulton can also advise clients with respect to Wills Variation Act issues and acting for estates generally and with respect to probate.

Mr. Boulton feels that his extensive experience with a major downtown law firm, together with his roots in the local community, provide a blend of local availability with high - level legal experience and skills in his designated practice areas.
