Mr. Unruh over the course of his career has defended numerous claims on behalf of ICBC involving a wide variety of issues including post traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, spinal cord injuries, head injuries, assorted orthopaedic injuries and auto immune disorders. He has handled complex family compensation claims. His experience is broad and includes defending claims of both high and low complexity. He has on numerous occasions attended at trials both before Judges and juries and has significant experience in defending Rule 18A summary trials. Mr. Unruh also has considerable mediation experience.
In addition to the foregoing, Mr. Unruh also teaches criminology as an instructor at Simon Fraser University and Kwantlen University College. He has also taken numerous courses on conflict resolution and mediation and is a member of the BC Roster Mediation Society. Mr. Unruh feels that his skills and expertise in these areas assist him immensely in the investigation and defence of ICBC claims. |
